Plovdiv by Ania Mielczarek

05.08.2010

The following day we travelled by train to Plovdiv. And despite of what some of our friends were talking about trains in Bulgaria it was quite good:). Maybe they are not the fastest ones, but at least they weren’t dirty and when we opened the windows it wasn’t so hot. And we could admire the views and take some pictures from the platform outside the train.

But we didn’t know that the best part of the day is still waiting for us. We arrived to Plovdiv late in the evening and we stayed at Rumi’s house (which is great btw;)). Just the opportunity to take a shower was a magic moment, but it started to be better and better! We’ve met Rumi’s grandparents and we had a dinner at their place. It was really great time, not only because the food was delicious ( I mean DELICIOUS) but mostly because of grandparents – they are very friendly and open and despite language barrier we were able to understand each other very well:)

I’m so happy to be here!
