Ryla for Russian eyes looks very familiar. Though I recognized so beloved and close to my heart Orthodox tradition, I felt it is really different. The surroundings make it look really severe and reserved. Nevertheless it is heartily opened to anybody who wants to get there. Being a popular touristic destination it tries to keep its own independence –it shows a hidden life of monks, students and believers there.
Sincerely I can’t say I deeply explored the nature, spiritual atmosphere of the monastery. A first quick blick at the place like that is always not enough. But the magnificent, gorgeous beauty, bright strong colours of paintings, a fortress-like architecture and tradfitional for orthodox religion interior full of gold, colours, luxury show the way how God can be worshipped.
Katya=)
